unit 8:Indian folk tales(part 2)

This is my own Singaporean folk tale.
Title:The Jungle boy
Characters:Ranjit,the Bear family,Tiger

In the deep jungle, there was a baby boy who was lost when Tiger carried off from a nearby village. Some Bears saw the baby and saved the baby, and brougt it to thier cave.

Every night all bears would join in the bear community to dicide something. Can you guess what the bears are going to discuss about? They are going to discuss about
weather they can keep the baby. After a discussion which took about 1 hour all the bears agreeded to keep the baby, they named the baby Ranjit

Many years past,The leader of the bear community was going to die soon.He wished to have a last wish before dying,He wanted to see Tiger's skin infront of him when he dies. That Tiger eats all the bears in the Jungle. No bear was fit enough to do the task that the leader wanted. So the leader chose Ranjit. The reason why he chose Ranjit is because he was a human and he had more powers than animals.

The bear leader started to check Ranjit almost everyday closely,He listened carefully to his teacher, did what his parents tell him to do and does everything he has to do.The day the leader had to do die had come, the more weak the leader became, the more food the tiger gets. The bear leader told Ranjit about what he wanted.Ranjit agreed to do what the leader asked him to do.He heard that there is a village nearby,so he went to the village to become friends with them so that the villagers would not chase him off on the day he wants to kill the Tiger. Finally, the day came Ranjit did his best to kill the tiger. He went to the village and did some farming when he saw the tiger coming into the village he ran to it and took out his knife and skinned it alive! All the villagers were shocked.Ranjit ran away with the tiger's skin.He showed the skin to the leader.Than the leader died peacefully and Ranjit became the leader.
